Making an idiot of myself

Hi guys, I'm so embarassed now even re-reading this.

Went out last night, had a few drinks too many and texted a guy I was sort of seeing before. We had ended on ok terms before this. Basically I invited him over, we messed around, didn't sleep together, I didn't want to and he left after an hour or two. I'm just red with embarassment as he told me before he couldn't commit to anything serious as he has feelings for someone else which I accepted and it ended, but since then I've twice texted him when out, ended up messing around, never actually sleeping together but then when he goes to leave, I feel so hurt. Even though its me who started it. I've deleted him number, and facebook. Im not angry at him or blaming him by the way. This is all me and Im worried about myself. I'm also upset because he probably thinks I'm easy. Which I'm not.
Sorry if this comes across as muddled but I don't know whats wrong with me. I'm cutting down on how much I drink when I go out, clearly that is a factor too as I would never do this sober.

Aw don't worry. I think most people have drunk dialled and then felt absolutely scarlet to the roots in the cold light of day :o

Sounds like you like the guy, that's why you feel a little hurt when he leaves. As such it is probably a good idea to have deleted his number and maybe look at finding someone else if you're only looking for something fun and casual with someone. It's not going to work with him when you like him more than that.

It's always good to have one on the subs bench for such moments! ;)

Don't be hard on yourself. If you think you're drinking too much then by all means cut down but don't beat yourself up over something that everyone who has ever owned a mobile phone + had to much to drink ends up doing at some stage!

In the immortal words of Michael Jackson - 'You are not alone....'

    OP,
I can't tell you the amount of times I have also done this when I was younger.
Merkin is right. It just means you really like the guy but you know what his story is. He can't commit because he's in love with someone else. At least he's honest.

Does he know how you feel about him? If he does, then he shouldn't be messing you about like that. I know you are the one texting etc but he should realise that its not a nice thing to be messing around with someone you have no intention of being with longterm.

You know yourself this isn't doing you any good. There are plenty of guys out there who will feel the same way you feel about them. You're right to delete all his details.
As hard as it is, try your best to forget him. You will in time... I've done it :)

    Don't contact him again.

He has told you he doesn't want anything and actually has feelings for someone else... why the hell would you even entertain him? If I was this guy I probably wouldn't keep you around for long from what you said, so he is eventually going to cut you loose anyway.

Save yourself any more trouble or possible heartbreak and forget about this chap!
