Hello, I have an 2001 Toyota corolla diesel van. It has an 1.9 Engine in it. As the engine is from Peugeot, Just wanted to know if an Toyota 2.0 liter diesel engine and gear box would go in??
    Thank,sconfused.png

Yes it would. Actually you can put whatever similar (in terms of size) engine and gearbox into it.

Whatever of above options you'd choose, make sure you have a suitcase full of notes - loads of cables to be replaced as well as ECU, exhaust and some other electrical things (like relays).

Or if you knew a lad who had a Citroen 2005 1.9 xud engine/box with feck all miles done that would also drop right in and has no fancy electrics. Bulletproof engine.. oh look, there's one in the corner of my workshop..

Or you want to make work for yourself you could fit a 2.0 D-4D, that shape Corolla had that engine on the continent

They will go in alright but many more parts will have to go in with them to make it work.

Many parts are different and will need to be changed over. It will be a lot of work and hassle tbh and ideally you would need a bug eye e11 doner van to transfer the parts from.

A guy I know in the uk has a Corolla with that engine fitted from the factory. It causes all sorts if problems getting parts for it. He's owned it from new.
