    Apparently he is coming to Ireland in 2015 to warn Irish people about gay marriage.

    He seems quite a lot more crazy than Iona. It can only help us.

    Meh.... I'm completely indifferent on this....

    Let him come. He will find a lot of Irish people will view his visit negatively.

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    That is one of the ugliest websites I've ever seen.

    It gets better. He broadcasts on GCN radio.

    Im a bit nervous about getting too confident about the whole gay marriage debate especially after last nights prime time red poll survey which did show the majority still in favour but asked a few more complex questions and determined the number of "soft" yeses. Thats when people answer questions like Are you in favour of gay marriage but......
    A sizable percentage of the yeses had some reservations and one of the speakers was saying that this is what the No camp will be working on. There is still a lot of work to be done and minds are by no means fixed as of yet. A show of overconfidence or even of what could be viewed as arrogance or triumphalism on the Yes side could also swing some voters more towards the No side.
    Maybe something as conservative and easy to point out the lack of logic in as Butch Paugh will increase the Yes side but I think that even things like this could backfire if overdone.

    On another note a relative of mine got one of those new TV boxes where you pay a one off price and then you get television including all the Irish and British with some satellite included in that fee. I was a little taken aback by the number of GOD channels which seemed to be from a very conservative evangelical tradition and quite a few of them from the African evangelical churches. I thought that was a bit scary considering the position and influence many of those churches take on homosexuality in their countries.

    Still have to love Butch Paughs call to decision guy

    I don't think dismissing this guys importance is the same as being complacent.

    The thing is;

    A lot (obviously not all as I am not generalising) of Irish people will see this guy and dismiss thinking he's a Fred Phelps type crazy. Yes of course he will gain some traction but some people will see it as outside interference from America, from the church etc

    Also activists could be ready to hammer him if he makes any legal mistakes

    This guy's only appeal will be to people who would not, in a million years, vote for SSM anyway. He will almost certainly alienate the undecided or wavering voter rather than win him over. So, good. (Though my guess is that he'll never come.)

    Amber sky is right. This is a winnable cause, but it's not yet won, and the main threat to victory comes not from the obviously bat**** insane, but from the apparently thoughtful and reasonable opponents

    Butch Paugh was warning people about the 2008 world economic collapse years before it happened. He has alot more credibility than the perverted scum who run Ireland.
