Want to buy a watch - budget €300 - classic look

Hey all, until the money for the Rolex comes in :rolleyes: I've got my eye on a classic whiteface watch with leather strap. Doesn't need to be whiteface, but I quite like the old-school Timex / Copha look. One where the emphasis is on the hour and minute hand, no extraneous stuff (don't want to know the atmospheric pressure or the time in Tokyo).

Any recommendations? Budget is €300, could stretch a bit more if it's really nice.

Not a white face or leather strap but looking at your budget it sprang to mind. It's definitely on my hit list.

It's a little over your budget, but you may find it cheaper elsewhere, and it can be bought in store in Ireland so you may get a deal somewhere, but I would go with the Tissot Visodate - I think for the money it's a great watch...Automatic, Display Back, Classic looks.......what's not to like?

Now I know it's going to seem "cheap" but it's a watch I've had my eye on for a long time.





It's the same one out of that Christmas Guinness advert, where at midnight, your man looks down at the watch with the snow drifting about him. It's very classy I think. Hint of Bauhaus design about it.

Anyone have the Orient Bambino mentioned above? Looks very tempting and a reasonable price. Not as nice as the Tissot Visodate mind, and a bit bigger too (42 vs 39 mm). Think I would prefer something in a smaller size.
