Does the ASG M4 have a fuse in it? Could be blown out...

Take out the fuse and join the 2 brass holders together and this will tell if its the fuse.If still not working take off the base plate and check motor connections and all other connection .ie on buffer tube from gearbox to battery. Other thing could be trigger contacts but usually it would be intermittent if its was them.

    Typically you'd want a 25A-30A (30mm length) fuse.

Although, you'll get them cheaper in other places!

Not at all man i was the same when i started out and to be honest i still have to ask some question myself.Leftyfilp has just pointed out the fuse u need and any motor factors will hold it just bring your one with u.I was looking at a gun the other day one min working fine the next it would stop and the problem was a motor connection not pushed on fully.U tube will show u how to check it if your not 100% about taking off the base thats where i started.

Either way it will have a split in one if not the 2 pieces inside.

Does your M4 have Tamiya connectors by any chance? They have a tendency for the metal contacts to get pushed out of the plastic holders. Have you tried pushing the wires back into the holders to see if it gets the gun going again?

Just a thought as my own ultra reliable G&G M4 appeared to be "dead" the other day until I checked the Tamiya connectors and hey presto, up and running again. Must get my ass in gear and switch all my guns and batteries over to XT60 connectors.

I thought the same. G&G MP5 skirmished 2 times quit last weekend with intermittent misfires. The same time as my brand new Tar21 quit with something similar and my Tanfoglio gave up a couple of days previous. The pistol was a broken feed nozzle. The Tar was a tiny loose grub screw on the trigger actuator rods and the MP5 seems to have been the motor bedding in as it fires fine after a strip and rebuild. It definitely pays to have the confidence to be able to work on your kit but over 20 years of working on motorbikes has taught me that. And YouTube. YouTube helps. Although learning intricate (surgical?) mechanics off a 10 year old is a little odd for me! Hey I'm the perpetual student!
