Working 2 jobs

Hi, just looking for some advice. Im currently working in public service and am on very low wages and we are struggling to survive. I am hoping to go to a 4 day week - one week a parental leave day (wont get paid) and alternative weeks either flexi or annual leave (so that's two parental leave days a month) Reason for this is we can put baby into crèche part time and works out a lot cheaper. Unfortunately we have no family nearby to look after her so crèche only option and hubbie works shift work so we could manage this way.

So have been looking around for some part time weekend work as hubbie would be at home with baby so no extra minder fees. Can anyone tell me the implications of this on my tax. I currently earn €29k and the part time job is another 10K. Would I be tax so much it wouldn't be worth my while? At the moment im only taking home €850 a fortnight when all the taxes and levies are taken out so when parental leave kicks in I will be down another €90.

Any advice at all would be much appreciated
