Piece of cake... Go to your nearest machinery dealer and get a pack of assorted imperial thread nipples , Sparex is usually the supplier, can't remember the spanner size to remove and fit but if you have any at all there is almost bound to be one of the right size kicking around.

Be prepared for one or two of them to shear off and then the fun begins.

yeah thats what I;m dreading given the age of tractor.Might be an idea to put blow torch to them or soak them in wd40 for a while beforehand

What nipples are you changing out?

Its only 1 or 2 on the steering arm if that makes any sense might not be the correct term.tried cleaning them neddle but can;t pump grease into them

What type of grease gun have you? i find the rigid gun better at pumping if the nipple has not been used in a while.

just a standard cartridge type one.ahh these nipples are original from factory i would say

Has it the flexi pipe off it or rigid steel pipe off the gun?

Borrow a rigid gun and put good pressure on the nipples, try a blast of heat and then drive on with the gun that should get the old nipples going.

Not many nipples on them. Wd40 a little while before and a small spanner 8 I think???

Heat and a good gun should do the trick, let us know how you get on :)

If they are a bit manky, a run of a wire brush before the WD 40 is a good idea, allows the stuff to get at them , if you can leave them for a week and give them a squirt every time you pass with a touch of heat you'll have no bother.
I have never ever rung a grease nipple and I do a fair bit of resto. (Current project is a 1924 BSA)
