    Hi

Smashed my iphone screen last night but had phone ages so not too bothered. It still works so i am in no rush and i am ready to break free of the shackles of apple!

So heres my question. Got quoted 109 for both HTC one and Galaxy S4 in o2 shop, with similar contract and 219 for iphone 5s. Fancy a change so happy not to get iphone. Any ideas on which phone is better?

also more importantly, am i better off waiting for new models of both HTC ans Galaxy which i think may be out soon. What added features are they likely to have and also what are we thinking the pricepoint of these new devices would be. Just speculation i know but im pretty sure someone one here will have some good suggestions!!

    Cheers

Even if you don't get the new models due to be released (which is likely as it could take a while for them to launch in Ireland) the older models should come down in price. You don't have to stick with O2 either and can look around at other carriers. You are in a good position as your out of contract and not in a rush.

Had both HTC one and the s4 both are great phones, both have there good points. I'd say the s5 will be announced soon and the price will drop for the s4 don't be to quick to sign a contract. How much per month is the bill for phones.

Actually the contract with O2 has 10 months left to run so will be sticking with them but the phones will be the same so more looking for phone advice than network!!

All feedback is good feedback though so keep it coming

    Cheers

Might be a bit big for you but the Samsung note 3 could be an option too. Lovely phone. Next version probably not due until end of this year.

Ive had both the S4 and the HTC One, My clear favourite was the HTC. With the S4 I had nothing but problems with it from vibration failing to battery swelling to usb port failure, not to mention all the crashes it had. Have the HTC since October and I love it, The phone is a lot better feeling and designed than the S4 and Id hasten to say I prefer it over any iPhone Ive and in the past ( and Ive had them all )

My advice is to get the HTC, and if you can wait then get the new version supposedly being announced soon. Im due an upgrade at the moment and that is what Im waiting for.

stay away from samsung for the moment, the last few firwares have screwed up loads of phones and they dont seem to have any intention of fixing it.
Just look at their facebook page.

Both are excellent. I have the S4 and love it, but the HTC one is equally impressive. Try both see which you like better. There'll be a range of new models in April so just be aware of that.
