Heard him on with Matt cooper on today fm before 6 this evening. Basically he reckons his putting is improving but that his woes began with the changes to the grooves in the wedges. He doesn't trust his chipping and pitching since then. What he said was that his strengths (ie his chipping and putting) have gotten worse while his weaknesses (ie his driving etc) have improved. Still reckons his best chance of a tournament win will be a major due to the tough set ups.

Interesting. I would have thought that someone so good in the short game area would have found the transition to the new grooves easier. Still, once you get it into your head about a "bad" club it's hard to over-come it.
