    Hello all,
I just want to try something a little different and see how it goes. I'll try to pose a point for debate each week and let people have a proper chat about it.

For this week, I have decided to avoid topics that might require more debate until we get a full gameweek to discuss it. For now, I'll focus on two players who are on the radar as potentially explosive mid-priced midfielders - Tom Ince and Wilfried Zaha. I have looked at both, and I have also seen people talking about one without refeencing the other. So the question, I'd like to ask you today is...

Which player is the better long-term pick: Tom Ince or Wilfried Zaha?

    Lets do this!

Who is the better long-term pick? 34 votes

    Tom Ince

    Wilfried Zaha

    Ince. He takes set pieces.

Does this really deserve its own thread?

Good idea for a thread, or series of threads in this case. Hopefully some meatier topics on the way too.

I dont really have too much of an opinion on this topic though, will say Zaha of the 2 named but wouldnt have either in my team atm

Wouldn't really go with either as a long term pick but Ince may well be my transfer for Silva next week. Set pieces, an explosive debut and a DGW coming soon.

I'd go for Ince, I think he is slightly further ahead in his development than Zaha and I think he'll get more minutes.

I'd go for Ince. I believe he'll definitely play week-in, week out. Cardiff have signed alot of midfielders and I don't think Zaha is fully guaranteed a game yet.

In previous seasons, Zaha has 13 goals in 126 appearances. Ince has 30 in 100.

Ince also plays for a far better team and a better manager IMO.

Palace are a much more stable team. Makes Ince a ****load more reliable.

I'd like to see another week or 2 of both before I'd commit as Palace and Cardiff have both signed a few players in Jan but Ince would be my preference I think. Although Puncheon is a cheaper alternative and if he hods his place you know he'll offer small steady-ish returns.

Cardiff could be more attacking while Palace will keep things relatively tight and drilled which may be a slight edge for Zaha in theory. However if Ince were the man scoring or assisting the 1 goal that Palace score regularly then it would be hard to look past him.

Neither have a fantastic set of fixtures either. I'd be considering Snodgrass or my pre-season punt of Redmond if he continues to start games (started the last 2). Norwich need safety before the last 4 games of the season which are Liverpool, United, Chelsea and Arsenal. As for this argument I would be edging towards Ince.

Where did you get the stat for Zahas goals? i could of sworn he got more than that last season alone.

I think Zaha's the better player but will take him a few weeks to get match fit as he hasnt played much while iInce is sharp havent barely missed a game for blackpool except a couple towards the end when he was in dispute with them.

My rival brought in Ince after his 13 point debut haul. I'm hoping it was a once off, with the way the FA Cup games went it now looks like Palace players are very valuable over the coming weeks. I'm more scared of Ince than anyone else on his team.

I think the debate here should be Ince or Snodgrass.
