You know those times when your shopping and you see that thing you don't need but think you might possibly use in the future and you decide to buy it, we all do it !! Leave your most ridiculous purchases below.

Id say mine would be Call of Duty 4 in french... I am not french nor do i speak it. It was cheap so i bought it. Although it is a brilliant game, i cannot understand one bit of it.

    What's yours ?

B&Q had WD40 clearing at €2 a can for the big ones, so I bought it, all of if they had. WD40 is useful, right? And usually, what, around €8 a can ish.. I am now wondering what I wanted 46 cans of wd40 for. Seemed a good idea at the time.

This was always going to be a waste of money.

You'll never win this game where the French are involved.

There's extra functionality on the french version though - express weapons drop and very rapid retreating. Pressing Y twice also gives a very Gallic shrug - for when you lose.

And there's the Vichy mode for those inclined that way.

    Windows Vista

I also include my budget mini disk player.

& not sure if anyone remembers (IT crowd might) the 'Zip Drive'. It was light a giant floppy that went into an external unit that connected to the PC. Wasnt bad, could hold about 250MB of space. For the late 90s, not too bad at all.

My groupon emails always seem to come early hours of the morning.

Just landing home from the pub, scrolling through the offers.

Fall asleep, forget all about it

4 days later, postman arrives with 12 fruit of the loom polo shirts. And a tooth whitening kit.

My mother once bought 4 "can coolers" on offer.
Basically they were these can holders which you plug in and 4 hours later you've got a cool can. Don't see why she didn't wanna use the fridge

    Something like this

Mostly Lidl stuff. There was the useless food processor that seemed like a good idea, it stayed in the box for a year before I used it once then got rid of it.

The Lidl handheld vacuum cleaner, I thought it'd be great for the stairs, it wasn't.

Not from Lidl was the 3 tier steamer, which has never been out of the box, I can't even remember if it's in the back of a cupboard or if I got rid of it.

Just did the same. Although one of the lads is a keen poker player and his birthday is coming up.

I don't generally buy crap. I'm awful sensible (boring) when it comes to *stuff* if I don't know exactly where it's going to go in my house then I don't buy it.

My mother though, jesus feckin christ, she's a heart of gold but seeeeriously.
