recording from tv to usb on satellite receiver

    Hi I have a walker sat receiver and a 32gb usb key...

    I can record to the USB but only while I watch the station I recording.. Can u record something from your SAT receiver whilst watching something else or is it not possible...

    I think it's just the software in some receivers prevents channel changes once you start a recording.

    Even a single tuner receiver will still have a limited selection of other channels available to view, while you're recording something.

    My sat receiver is Walker WP95sat-HD so I take it that I can only record/watch 1 station at a time and not view another...

    I know the Walker satellite/terrestrial combi box only allows viewing terrestrial while recording satellite & vice-versa &, even this needed an update from the original firmware. It still isn't possible to switch to another satellite channel while recording satellite.

    Any other single-tuner receiver I'm aware of will let you view another channel on the same transponder: still limited but can be useful.
