I know bus no.44 can take me to Enniskerry from Dublin city center, but which bus stop should I get off at?

I am planning on getting there by public transportation. :)

You'll need to get off at the last stop in Enniskerry village and walk up the worlds steepest hill to Powerscourt gardens! The waterfall is too far to walk to unless you fancy a hour or so walk on narow roads. Not sure about taxi's in enniskerry

Is the bus no. 185 taking us from Enniskerry village to the gardens or walking is the only option?

Yes, bus to Enniskerry village and then a short walk from the village to the main entrance gate. You'll have another walk to get to the house & gardens, as they are about a mile away from the gate.
