    Not a bad drive but would you consider an SSD? That'll give you a substantial performance increase, and keep a larger drive over USB.

    Yeah, I thought about it and got a lot of mixed responses regarding performance.
    I'm already using a 3TB WD Firewire 800 as my scratch disk.
    I think what swayed it in the end was the amount of storage for the cost.
    Its only temporary as I'm planning to upgrade to the 27" ASAP.
