tyre recommendations?

So my so-called puncture resistant bontrager tyres have proved to be anything but. After about 10 different punctures (both wheels, all different parts of the tyre) in the last 2 months I am thinking that new tyres may be in order for the road bike.

Any recommendations for really puncture resistant 700 x 23 tyres? Its just for commuting so puncture resistance is more important than speed.

Have to ask. Are your pressures okay? Underinflation can lead to pinch flats so worth checking.
I use Conti Gaitorskins on my commuter. These are heavy and hard to get them on the rim. No problems so far but its really ulimportant to keep the tyres properly inflated.
Saying all that most of the tyres makers make their own puncture resustant tyres and generally the heavy beefy ones are pretty much fit for the purpise intended.

I've put 2500kms on a set of Schwalbe Lugano's puncture free.

Just one puncture over the year on a pair of Durano plus tyres (25mm).

I bought a pair of Durano's to replace a pair of Gatorskins that had started getting punctures. I got a puncture in the Durano's the first time out. Just one of those things though - Farmers cutting hedges and the wet weather acting like a lubricant for the thorns.

I find them stiffer than the Gatorskins and pick up a lot more vibration from the road but I also found them more predictable in the wet.

+1 on these. Only have them a few weeks but I've heard great things.
I swapped my 700x23s for these. Feels like a smoother ride and nicer in the wet.

Probably worth noting there's a big difference between Durano and Durano plus, as only the latter have the puncture resistant belt. That said, my one puncture was also a thorn during hedge cutting season. I went 25mm rather than 23mm as you run them at a slightly lower pressure and hence pick up less road noise.

I put these on all my bikes last autumn, no punctures at all for around 2700km's. Great handling in the damp and comfy too :-)

I check the pressure every couple of days (with track pump)

No such thing as puncture resistant tyres, I got continental 4000 tyres and got a flat tyre on its first run out, 9km into it.

So far 2 flats in the last 6 months commuting.

Schwalbe Marathon Plus (smallest size 700/25) are unbeatable if you're not too concerned about weight/rolling resistance. I've put up 16,000/17,000kms puncture free on a pair. The tyres have numerous cuts and holes including some very deep ones exposing the blue puncture belt but they have never let me down.

Ya. These are what I have. No issues at all with them and I'd buy again. I keep the pressure between 120 and 130 psi

Could always go Tubeless, less punctures and lower pressure so not as bumpy out on the road.....! :)

Gatorskins for me. I'm running 28s at 100psi and I only start to get punctures when the tyres wear.

I got over 3600km on a set of 25mm Conti GP4000s before my first puncture. This was mostly over the "finest" roads that Co Wicklow has to offer.
