Hey guys, my sister bought a 1998 C180 petrol manual.
It seems to be blowing the 40amp central locking fuse and also the instrument lighting fuse..

The car was parked in a garage for 3-4 years...

Is there a known problem with the c180 that could cause this?

Could it be a result of being laid up?

The fuses don't blow straight away, and Unfortunently I haven't access to the car to try figure out a rhythm or pattern to it... I'm just getting the phone call:)

Mother relay board under the bonnet water and moisture in it I'd say actually if memory serves me correctly that system works on a vacuum pump for the central locking think it's under the rear seats they a common failure.
We do lots of Mercs although the older ones are coming a lot rarer
