Which Star in a Car would you like to see ?

After last weeks effort of having James Blunt on again, it got me thinking which SIARPC could they put on ?

I was thinking Billy Bragg, I remember reading in an interview about 25 years ago that the only thing he could drive was a tank, he learned to do that in the army. I presume things have changed in the meantime but I've seen him in concert a couple of times, he is very opinionated and has some very quick and witty comebacks at hecklers. He also dislikes (hates I'd say) Clarkson so it could be good. I just get the impression it would be edited to make Clarkson look good.

There's very few footballers on it, strange as some of them drive fairly expensive cars, maybe it's an insurance issue but some retired ones like Paul Gascoigne or Teddy Sheringham could be good value. Other retired sports stars like Eric Bristow or Bobby George are witty and would give Clarkson a run for his money in terms of banter.

On an aside I always thought it was a pity (and in many ways strange) that Schumacher never did the lap in the RPC.

    So here's 12 I'd like to see.

    1. Billy Bragg
    2. Graham Norton
    3. Gazza
    4. Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald in Corrie)
    &
    5. Craig Charles (Lloyd Mullaney in Corrie)
    6. Teddy Sheringham
    7. Eric Bristow
    8. Bobby George
    9. Neil Young
    10. Helen Mirren
    11. Morgan Freeman
    12. Matt Damon (an environmentalist, good to wind JC up)

It's a pity they couldn't have got more F1 drivers, testing has now started again in Bahrain so I don't suppose we'll be seeing any.

Craig Charles would be a good one (I'm a huge Red Dwarf fan).
Graham Norton too would be great.
I'd like to see James May take over for one episode, where the guest is Clarkson.

I read yesterday that Aaron Paul is on soon, he would have been my first choice :)

Dunno why folks are suggesting Dame Helen Mirren - she was on the show, back in 2007. Got Dave? :P

I'd like to see more comedians, and I don't mean local luvvies like Jack Whitehall or Miranda Hart. For example, Louis CK, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Denis Leary or Frankie Boyle.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Matt Damon. Maybe Chris Martin? He is like the polar opposite of clarkson so it would probably be funny.
