Samsung Series 7 - Only 3 Irish Channels?

    Hi,

I've been trying to setup the Samsung TV model UE55F7000 with Freesat and Saorview. I can get all the Freesat channels but for some reason it is only tuning in 3 Irish channels RTE 1, RTE 1+ and RTE Jr.

I then ended up going through the setup and changing the country back to Ireland and its still only tunes in 3 channels?

I also have the Samsung UE60ES6300 model which picks up all the irish channels and the Freesat one to. I even tried to export the channel list from that TV to the new 7 series TV but that doesn't work?

Am I missing out on some setting or reset or whats going on?? I did have all the Irish channels when it was set to Ireland the other day?

Thanks for any help or ideas :)

Those 3 services are carried on Saorview multiplex 2 (mux 2). The signal for the other services on mux 1 must not be good enough & poor signal is usually down to the receiving aerial setup not being good enough.

The funny thing is all the Irish channels where there before I tried to tune in the Freesat channels? The only thing I can think is that the reception comes and goes?

I also tried an indoor aerial on the LG TV upstairs and I could only get the same 3 channels? Could it be a signal problem in Portmarnock? The Samsung TV uses and outdoor aerial

No 'signal problems' in the sense of transmitter faults.

You might just happen to be in a spot that can't get a good enough signal from any transmitter site. Portmarnock seems pretty well served though, according to the Saorview coverage checker. An aerial installer should either leave you with a reliable signal or, admit they can't.

I'll mess about with it over the weekend and see how I get on.

Thanks for the reply and help Peter :)
