High Beam Light not working

    hi all my left hand side high beam (H1 )isnt working at all , the bullb is ok ( brand new) checked all fuzes ok , the other side is working 100%

    just wondering can anyone help me on what the prob is before i take it to the shop?

    its a 97 Jap Honda Dc2 Integra

    The bulb is for high beam only yeah? You probably already tried but did you put it in right? Can you try again with old bulb or bulb from other side.

    yeah didnt work , tryed a few new H1 bulbs but no look , dont have a clue at this stage lol

    Might be a failed relay, sometimes there's one per headlight.
    Could be a break in the wiring. If you have a multimeter check for 12v at the bulb connecter with the heads on, if you don't get it follow the line back until you do and you'll find the problem nearby.

    Depending on how thick your wiring loom is and how temperamental your computer-thingy is; you could wire one headlamp off the other as a temporary measure. It's not recommended as a permanent solution though because if you blow the fuse for any reason you'll be left in the dark. If the wiring to the working headlight has a conductor diameter ≥ 2.5mm you'll be ok. 1.5mm Ө would be pushing it on 2 x 80watt bulbs. You may have to swap the fuse for a 15amp if there isn't one there already.

    Dusty corroded terminals are another possibility. Oxidised metals make bad conductors. Try cleaning the contacts of the bulb holder.
