Heard there was a meeting at Coca-Cola today and some managers lost their jobs. Anyone else heard about this announcement?

Coca cola announced falling sales volumes in its fourth quarter, particularly in the USA. Healthier options such as water, juices etc are appealing to consumers in western markets.

The company announced 1bn in savings by 2016. Interesting that this is more from productivity improvements than plant closure or redundancies. Pepsi has taken a different approach looking for savings by closing plants and increasing automation.

Not a great time to lose one's job and hope that they find something else in the locality.

They are finding it hard http://www.independent.ie/business/world/cocacola-global-sales-miss-estimates-sending-shares-down-by-4pc-30021568.html

They do own loads of healthier options though. I think RiverRock says owned by coca cola on the bottle as well as loads fo other "healthy" drinks.

Hope Ballina Coca Cola workers keep their jobs.

It is a good project, and a good company
