We're buying a house, have signed contracts and paid balance of 10% payable on signing. It has been a week since seller signed contracts but no sign of contracts being returned. Found out today that they are holding contracts until their purchase is complete. And so completion date per the contract we signed will not be met. Our main concern is furniture ordered that delivery can not be put on hold any longer without incurring storage costs.
Have we any recourse as contracts have been signed?

This is something that you need to discuss with your solicitor.

On that note, I'm sorry, but I have to close your thread- as we can't offer legal advice.
