    Hi, I recently closed my JSA claim and my partner applied to claim for me as an adult dependant so we'd have one weekly payment paid into the bank account.

    I never realised the rent allowance was under my name and because I closed my claim my partner would need to reapply.

    We got the application forms from the social welfare yesterday. (We applied originally to the central rents unit, is it unusual for the welfare to deal with it now?)

    I was just wondering does this mean my rent allowance claim is closed straight away or will it stay active until my partner is approved?

    I'm just worried we will not get paid this month and leave us unable to pay our landlord until it is processed again.

    Any advise welcome, I have tried calling the office but can't get through.

    Can anyone advise on this?

    I'm waiting on the landlord to come over and fill in his section.

    Really worried my claim has been stopped and we won't be getting rent allowance until this new claim is processed.
