    Hello people

First of I'm very sorry if this is the wrong board, and may a mod please move this thread to somewhere more appropriate, but as this regards a legal question I thought I would put it here.

Basically I'm planning to order animal skulls, and wet specimens like snakes in a jar etc.

My question is, is there any laws regarding importing these things from abroad? they're all from legitimate traders or online shops and nothing dodgey, but I just thought I'd ask incase anybody knows before I order.

I'm pretty sure that's for live animals

you will have to have proof that they are not from endangered species and that they did not suffer torture. This is covered by CITIES.
Documentation is vital for this type of import. Call the Revenue/Tarrif Classification dept in Nenagh ( not sure of the number). Give them the description of what you intyend to import and then they will give you a tarrif code which will correspond with documents you will be required to submit to customs upon arrival
Department of agriculture will most likely want to inspect it upon arrival

The second and third options on the website I posted are about live animals but if you study the first and fourth options you'll see they cover dealing in and importation of 'parts or derivatives' which clearly does not involve live animals.
