advertising my services by email

    i graduated from a university and still have my uni email active. can i advertise grinds aimed at a certain course through this email? ill be making money from the grinds if any of the students from the course take me up on my offer, im planning on sending my ad through a class list.

    You should check what you agreed to when you received your email address from the uni.

    I can't see how what you are proposing to do would fall into a university "acceptable usage policy".

    Also if I was a student, I would be ticked off is somebody was spamming me.

    Finally, it's not an address you can rely on, the university could cut you off at any time.

    There must be somebody at the college who you could ask, a umail moderator or something? You might be able to get permission, although it seems doubtful to me.
