I have a friend and her ex text me a couple of times, I replied out of politeness. Now my friend has gone mad and said its strange I'm texting her ex and if I continue to she wants nothing to do with me. I only replied to him to be polite. Is she crazy??!

That escalated quickly: it's hard to call someone 'crazy' with such a shallow description of the issue and a lack of details. For instance, what were you texting about? Figure skating? Relationships? Going out for a drink? Flirty compliments? When did they break up? How long were they dating? Why did they break up? That's all just for a start. Not ready to call someone a whackjob just off that ^.

He was asking about a farm. I've no interest in her leftovers at all. She said she doesn't trust me and it's my fault that he contacted me as I liked a picture of his on Facebook

What advice are you looking for? Confirmation that your friend is crazy?

what about a farm? and why ask you?

From your previous posts here it seems all your friends give you hassle or grieve over one thing or another. Maybe its time to get a new set of friends.

I've no idea why he asked me but it's not my fault he contacted me. I just replied to him and now she's gone crazy saying I'm lying to her etc

Surely this is something you can sort out between yourselves? You know the details. I can't see what advice we could give you on this.

+1. You probably need to find new friends OP judging by the endless threads from you in PI on how vile they all are.

Maybe or maybe not. I don't know the ins and outs of it. You haven't give any details.

I advice you to sort it out with her instead of getting confirmation on the internet from strangers that won't sort anything out. Surely you need to sit her down and talk to her.

you own a farm?? pm sent :) seriously though,i would have just ignored the text,i agree with the post above, its a bit quick to be branding anybody a headcase. For all you know the guy could have been cheating on her and now she reckons he's trying it on with you. I've been in a couple of similar situations and have concluded that a cooling off period of at least a few months is best.Sure,if you see the guy on the street by all means be polite, but knock the texting on the head.break ups are hard and your mate doesn't need the idea of her ex and her mate getting too pally on top of everything else going through her mind.Be a good friend, bring her out, cheer her up,and after a while loverboy will have been long forgotten.best of luck.

Too late for that - we have had a few rows in the past and this was the last straw I think. Fair enough about the texting but he always text me first and I just replied - I did nothing wrong :( my parents have a farm lol

Sounds like you're better off. You don't need this kind of stupid drama in friendships. Leave her off.

    how would you react?

Not like her accusing me of lying to her and she didn't trust there was nothing going on. It's just crazy I think

Well if you think she is crazy it doesn't matter what the rest of us think. What you should examine is why you need constant validation from people on the internet on the relationships you have with your friends.

I don't need constant validation. Plus isn't that what boards is for anyways?!

You post incessantly about your 'friends'. They seem like very unhealthy relationships.

Yes you do and on a previously thread you admitted you rely on other peoples (friends and family) opionions too much. You need to work on your own self-confidence and self-esteem. Then silly issues like a friend's ex texting you wouldn't cause this much hassle.

Eh?! It was no hassle until my friend went mad!

OP - you were asked 3 months ago not to post here again as we really cannot help you in any way.

Instead you were told to seek professional help. You are not leaving us with much choice here other than to issue a ban - something we really don't want to do. Please go and talk to your GP as soon as you can. If we see another thread here from you we will be left with no choice but to ban you for your own sake.

    All the best
    Taltos
