Help finding a car for a friend

    Hey guys,

A friend is looking to buy a car with the following spec:

Colour: Black/ Navy (really any colour except white or red)
Year: post 2008 (year they changed the tax)
    Type: Automatic
Fuel: Petrol (actually I really don’t mind unless there is a significant price difference). Might be better with diesel for resale purposes.
Make: Golf, Audi, Opel Astra, - basically any two door car that looks a bit sporty and not too big.
    Budget: 10-11k

If it was me, I'd buy privately, but I think she'd be better going to a garage and getting a warranty (as much as I'd be confident in my own knowledge, if the engine falls out of the car after a month, I don't want to take the blame! :) )

The requirement of an automatic makes it difficult, but she's firm on that. She'll be doing very small mileage so I think petrol is her best bet. Any ideas?
