How do I extend the range off 4G Wifi Hotspot ?

Got my 4G Wifi Hotspot device thing set up in the best spot in the house, facing the direction of the mast. Unfortunately, this leaves a big black spot for my Xbox in the living room, which is getting a very poor reception off it... fluctuating between none to 1 bar. How do I go about improving the range ?

I have the same problem with a 3g e5220 signal not as strong at end of house. Has anyone got any way to extend the range.
