Do a command prompt and tracert for a more accurate reading.

My ping has dropped slightly nothing to write home about, 22ms to boards.. was 26~29ms

There are different DLM settings I believe which majorly change ping times.

I think the below may apply or something similar may apply to VDSL here. With those very low pings you are probably on DLM-1 (or equivalent) (1ms). DLM-2 (8ms) adds latency for stability. It's an automated process the equipment decides that your line is stable enough for less error correction.

    DLM-1 1ms 0INP

    DLM-2 8ms 0INP
    DLM-4 8ms 1INP *9
    DLM-6 8ms 2INP

    DLM-3 16ms 0INP
    DLM-5 16ms 1INP
    DLM-7 16ms 2INP
    DLM-8 16ms 4INP

INP is set to 2.0 which is a DLM 8ms/16ms

I get 10ms to google.ie on a dsl line so pretty good, surprised some efiber customers have higher pings

What the hell? My ping went up back where it was. I rang the tech support today and was told that they don't know anything about it.
I also told them that my delay was 0ms while I was under 10 ping, and now i have 4ms delay on the upstream and 7ms delay on the downstream, could that be the cause of it? what is going on. I told them about enabling the fastpath or switching me to low interleaving but they said that it couldn't be done on a fiber package? what could be the reason for this?

Hey @domeld are you still getting the same ping? I am trying to see if others have the same issue or am i the only one?

I contacted eircom moderators here on boards and they told me that they are trying to sort this issue out. Hopefully it will go back to what it was
    "fingers crossed"

No answers whatsoever. they are just saying same thing over and over again
"we don't know anything about it" Can we atleast know the reason why the INP (actual delay) was set to zero? I think this was the reason for the sudden drop in ping times.
