Im a mature student and just graduating this year from a B.A Business degree.... im very unhappy as the degree was so broad I dunno what direction to go.... im considering going bk doing a second degree making sure this time its the right one in the career I really want. Is it common for ppl to go back starting again on a second degree? Or am I completely being ridiculous? Any advice is sincerely appreciate thanks.

I went back to college to do a 2nd undergrad degree in something completely different. It was the best decision of my life. Saying that, there was a period of 12 years between graduating from my first degree and starting my second, so I had a lot of work experience and time to think about what I really wanted to do.

Thanks for your reply! Ya im considering teaching and its very relative to the subjects id like to teach. Im just worried going to college again ill be outta proper work again for another long stint. I feel it could be worth it though because im so nit happy with my career options with this degree at all! Is it common for people to only realise what they really wanted to do then need to go back a retrain ect. ...

Well it was very common in my particular class, a few of us had either been made redundant and were starting from scratch, or otherwise left whatever they were already at to go back to college. Having been made redundant and unemployed for a while meant I was eligible for the back to education allowance which made life a lot easier for me as obviously I couldn't get a grant for a second degree.
I don't know how common it is in teaching, I know a few people over 30 who went back to do a H.dip though. Are you thinking of going back to do primary teaching?
