Best colour paint for cattle crush & pens?

After 25 years the cattle crush, chute and pens are in need of a re-paint. Have all the metal work undercoated, but unsure what the is the best colour paint to use for the final coats.

Some web sites mention Tan Brown is best as it doesn't throw shadows and the cattle appear to be more relaxed.

    Anyone any experience?

Had already bought black gloss and a deep red.

Cattle only see black and white so makes no difference!

Sure if it is for the girls you might as well do it up in a nice pink.

According to Temple Grandin, the most important factor with colour of a handling facility is that it is all the one colour, avoiding contrasts.
She suggests Black tends to heat up (Unlightly in this climate!) and white is too reflective. So there ya have it!

Oxide red looks class when first done and then fades into a nice quiet colour, yet you still know that it is painted:pac:

I've painted it black. I guess it'll get covered in enough brown soon enough.
