Any Experience with Toyota Corolla 2.0D engine (non D4d model)

Done a timing belt on one there few weeks back, took it for a test drive WOULD NOT PULL THE SOCKS OFF A DEAD MAN!! Owner was saying its very hard on fuel also like 40mpg. I know they are not the handiest on fuel but I cant get over its DEADNESS zero Torque !! electronic injector pump, so that rules out someone turning down fuel supply.

40 mpg would be near it, is fuel and tank ok ,thinking of contaminated dsl ( washed or just gunk ) when mine 08 was contaminated the commercial centre i took it, said they saw one week before that customs told owner about after dipping it,wasn't washed dsl but just gunk and power difference after a month was unreal when tank and pipes & filter were cleaned out. they filled my dsl filter with injector cleaner and put rest of can into tank as well as another additive as injectors were rattling like ball bearings falling into a cup .
suppose there isn't an obstruction like a rag left in air -line inside the filter.::)

did you try adjusting pump timing - was it sluggish before you done belt or is it just after i.e your fault its sluggish :pac:

Twas Dead before I replaced the Belt


Never tried to adjust pump timing, may have the van back next week
.Also going to check out exhaust system. Cat clogged up perhaps ..
