Their young minds are being led astray by drug-pushers and violent video games.

I for one disagree with this sort of thing.

Being a young person. The most frustrating thing is the fact that my life is dictated by the values of a generation which have nothing in common with mine. My generation cant understand the fact the divorce is so limited, abortions are banned, same sex marriage is not allowed and that everyone must be raised a catholic.

You can always say no to a drug pusher, but you cant change the values of a country that chooses not to accept the values of the future generation.

It cracks me up when future generations think they were the first future generation.

Progress is a slow process. When people your own age are in government things change how you like them usually.

The day we see the values of the younger generation become reality is the day we witness the eclipse of reason, let me tell you.

Is that you Fidelma? How is Oranmore? Never thought I'd see the day that you'd be in the RA

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

God be with the days when the plain daycent people of Ireland were safe to walk the streets. We had no crime or schkandal, our politicians were honest and the holy church kept us sitting on a true moral compass. Children were well behaved and well looked after and we all had a sense of value

Oh and unicorns, we had lots of unicorns too...
