Barrel cleaning

When you are cleaning your inner barrel should you put any silicon oil or anything in it??

I usually put a little bit of tissue paper through the loop on the end of the cleaning rod.
Then I spray the tissue with a bit of silicone oil , never WD40.
Then I do that a couple times replacing the tissue and respraying ,till the tissues start coming out cleaner.
Then I personally put a dry tissue through the barrel to finish up.

NEVER USE SILICONE OIL.

Oil is a lubricant not a cleaner. If oil then reaches your hop up rubber it will render it useless. Hopup rubbers and BB's work on friction to generate backspin oil hinders that. Silicone oil also attracts dirt.

Best thing to do is switch your hop off. Get a stip of lint free cloth on your barrel cleaner and dip it in warm soapy water. After a few cleans when your confident that it is all gone then get a dry strip of cloth and run her through to dry it. Job done.
