Boiler not igniting

I have an Ideal mini s24 boiler, was working yesterday but stopped firing last night. Power to the system is fine, when I turn on I don't hear a 'puff' as normal. Pressure seems low, 0.5, tried to increase but the black lever isn't on the fitting as it was before. Can only think it fell off down the back of the press. And I have no way to access. Any ideas, tried a pliers but nothing happened :-( blinkin cold!

Do you have any flashing lights signifying a fault code?

That boiler (should) wot down to about 0.2-0.3bar pressure as has a flow switch not a pressure switch.
Most minis (except the hast version) only have a single green light, pulse rate does indicate some faults, but you need an RGI to open up and use boards internal diagnostic lights to diagnose further.

What you can try, is turn on appliance and immediately, and briefly (for about 2-3 seconds) close the lever on the flow pipe (black lever under the boiler at the extreme LH side) but open it back up soon as the boiler lights (puff as you say)

If that works it may get you a few hours heat before happening again, this is only if it's a flow issue, and really would indicate that you need in RGI first thing tomorrow, as could be flow blockage such as limed/scaled heat exchanger etc…..
