How much is my macbook worth?

I'd appreciate any advise please!

Have a macbook and got a dim green charger light on it recently. From what I gathered (after trying to discharge battery, etc) that it's either the magsafe port or the logic board. I replaced the magsafe port with exactly the same issue.... I gave in and got a new macbook recently, but I was wondering if there is any value for either parts, or someone who wants to take it onboard as a cheap fixerupper! I don't want nor expect to earn a fortune but to leave the macbook in my drawer broken seems a waste. If I can recoup a tiny bit of the cost of the new macbook i'll be happy

Specs are:

MBP 13" mid 2010
OSX 10.8
4GB RAM
250GB HDD

Have a look on averts.ie and ebay and see what similar specced machines are going for. You should be able to gauge a fair price that way tbh.

The OP's Macbook is the Macbook Pro.Here's a similar on adverts.

Around 500-550 if in working order, and slightly less if its only a slight problem.

Sorry must have misread the OP
Asking price and selling price is a completely different thing though. Loads of dreamers on adverts, people making offers with no intention of buying. Ebay is the best place to actually sell/get a real idea of its value and I'd imagine you'd get up to 350max on ebay

people on adverts make offers all the time that they have no intention of buying, have you ever tried selling something on it?
That one is still for sale months later and its working, which would say to me its not worth €550, well not to anyone who uses adverts anyway.
Anyway it's also like comparing a car with a blown engine vs one driving perfectly.
Macbooks not powering up are almost always logic board problems, there are very few people who will even attempt to fix it. Anyone who would pay even close to €550 to dive into the unknown would need their head examined, on a laptop that's working value is not even €550 according to advert you linked.

Found a guy who can repair it, who took it from adverts in the end for €150. thanks! better to go to a good home than gather dust in mine
