    Hi all

I got a dualband TP Link router today to try boost the wifi signal in a room the other side of the house receiving little to no signal. I have UPC

I have a wire coming into the room already, I have it in the back of the the router in the "internet" port and I am getting a full signal to the router but no connection to the net

Would anyone know the problem, will there be some bridging of the UPC SSID needed?

    Thanks

If you're connecting by ethernet to the original router you'll need to be in access point mode, set it up with the same SSID and encryption type and key as the original but on a different channel and your devices will roam between them

    Ok thats helpful

I can't seem to see the channel which the original is on will I just pick a channel for the bew router at random?
