Just wondering is it a definite no to mature students applying after February the 1st ? I lost my job last week and would really like to return to college next year to study Sport Studies and Physical Education, my plan is to apply March 5th.

This is the only course that really interests me but I've seen on the UCC site that late applications are not considered , is it even worth my while applying...

    thanks :)

As far as I know there is no late applications but i would still enquire...G.mulcahy@ucc.ie....this guy handles these kind of things very nice fella and has all the info...

Just a warning the competition for this course is huge and there is only one or two mature students taken in as far as i know...most will have prior courses done in stiofain naofa and the likes...just an idea to try there aswell as a stepping stone...good luck

also i reckon you will not have enough time bulit up on social welfare between now and then to qualify for back to education allowance and the fees grant...its nine months on welfare for a level 8 course...level 6 course in stiofan naofa is 3 or 4 months as far as i know
