Qashqai wipers slapping

As title says have an 07 qashqai and the wipers are slapping on both strokes however this only happens now and again. Sometimes it is fine and other times its continuous. Any ideas?

Adjusting the wipers on the motor will not work as they hit the rubber windscreen seals on the bottom and side. Am thinking an ecu problem?

    Anyone ever come across this?

    Worn linkages possibly?

Thanks for your reply. Had a look at the linkages and all looks ok. No obvious wear or play.

I'm baffled by this one. Seems to happen more when wipers are on auto but still happens every so often when turned on manually. It is very annoying with the noise of the wipers banging off the rubbers

Are the blades the right size?

Just checked, yep, they are the right size for the car? Any other ideas?
    Thanks

If their hitting on the side and the bottom Worn linkages is all I can think of as well. Grab the wiper near the spindle and give it a shake, their should be little or no movement, is the problem worse at higher speed?
