Hello! This might sound odd but what kind of Id do you need to get a drink from the pub?

I moved in Ireland a while ago to attend College here, I am 19 but I have a baby face that makes me look 16-17:pac: I went with some friends a few times and one of the time the bartender asked me for an ID and I gave my College Card.
He said that wasn't the right ID but still gave me a drink.

I want to know which Id could I use there, can I use my foreign identity card?
I don't have a driving license, what other Ids can be used?

    Thank you!

Show your tits, it's all the id you need here.

If your male, I would suggest a short skirt.

Typically you will need a driving license, garda I' or passport. Student cards cut it in some places but not most.

Are you young looking? Garda id is pretty easy to get but it takes several weeks

    Good luck with it!

A plastic drivers licence is usually fine too.

Cut yourself in half and let the bouncer count your rings.

Your foreign ID card would probably work if you're from somewhere in the EU. Just explain to them where you're from. Pubs don't want to turn customers away!

Carry a Lidl shopping bag and a copy of the Daily Mail under your arm, wear incontinence oants that are slightly visible of your waist. Barstaff will automatically assume you are an elderly person and avoid eye contact with you

Your regular I.D should be fine, or just go out when the pub is really busy.

I've never had issues with my driver licence, used it since I was 18, recently got the new plastic card one. I also use my college I.D on occasion. I hate hate HATE bringing my passport with me on a night out, it's just a complete bastard to replace.

I've had more hassle from those wankerz at Tesco, where some miserable bag will insist on a fcuking passport when buying booze.

A passport is not an acceptable form of ID for the purchase of alcohol.

    Worked for me plenty!

Before we got the snazzy new drivers licence I had to show my passport when Carded in the US.
Last time I was carded was at the ripe old age of 39. Fckin americans!

Not true....Some places will only accept passport or Garda Age Card as ID.

If you are from the E.U., just show your National ID Card, you don't need a passport.
