Question about how FIS is calculated...

Just a quick question coz we cant decide which would be better to do......
My partner works full time & we have been getting fis for the last few years as we have two children. Our renewal date is coming up soon so he will have to send in his P60 & two payslips as usual.
Heres the query - is it the earnings from the two payslips they go on or a yearly average from the P60 or both?
Coz he has been offered some night shifts around our renewal date which would be slightly more pay and therefore we could really do with. But the payslips would obviously reflect this higher pay so it wouldnt be worth decreasing our fis payment for the whole year just for a bit extra for those couple of weeks,if they calculate it from the two payslips.

I hope I've explained it properly! Basically we really could do with the little extra for those few weeks but its not worth risking our fis amount for the year for so am just wondering if anyone knows if it matters or best to carry on as normal just in case.
Kind of between a rock & a hard place at the moment......

    Any advice welcome. Thanks!

i would think they check both. they would use the
p60 to make sure he doesnt do loads of over time.
but stops the ot when he is due to show payslips.

They have changed the way they calculate you earnings for fis, they will look at both pay s lips and p60 and well use an average.

So it may be better not to have the night shifts on the payslip.
