Freesat on TV

I have had a couple of Humax Sat boxes over the past few years with a Freesat EPG working very well on them. I got a LG smart TV last week with a built in satellite receiver and all I seem to get is FTV station set up. Is it possible to get a Freesat stations set up on this type of receiver. Also I am looking for a USB memory to put on the set for Pause live TV and a small amount of recording. I bought a 32Gb USB stick but the TV wont record on it. [Sorry wrong tread reposting on forum satellite]

Only if it's a Freesat certified TV set to UK.

    In General
External recording works fine for many people, but inherently less reliable than a real PVR with supplied internal HDD.

USB doesn't mean there is ANY recording

Some boxes and a very few TVs only use USB for updates.
Most TVs and some boxes can do Media playback but not recording.
Some TVs and Boxes can record on USB. But there are often limitations on Format, speed of USB device and size.

    Read the manual.
