Anybody any opinions on the above cars? Need to change car soon and have looked at both of these. Have 10k to spend.
Looked at 08 galaxy with 160k on the clock or 08 citreon with 60k on the clock..

We have 4 children so definitely need the bigger car, driving a galaxy at the moment nice car and feels solid but we want to trade up in years. Car also needs to be diesel due to high mileage.

Would appreciate any opinions or advise.

    Thanks.

I'd personally have the Galaxy. Look the best people carrier out there at the moment imo. Can look especially good in the ghia spec. The 2.0 engine would be my preference over the 1.8, as it delivers more power to haul the car around.

Just going through this process at the moment and was down to the galaxy and Picasso, very close to buying a 09 Picasso but bottled it for a 07 galaxy for the same money, nearly twice the mileage and twice the tax category.

Read some horror storys about the Picassos but some people on boards here seem to be very happy with them but I couldn't go through with it and was worried about buying someone else's car who were fed up with problems on them.

Picking up the galaxy in the morning that is an auto so avoiding the flywheel problems that are on our present old one and a lot of others after 100k,although preferred the seats on the pre 06s.

Thanks for the opinions. I'm swaying towards the galaxy did a bit more research on the Picasso and they seem to have more problems in comparison. The 2.0 liter is a bit out of my price range at the moment but I will stay searching. Have a 04 galaxy to trade and can only afford to put 6/7 k along with it. I will update later when I find something.

You should get around 5k for your Galaxy on a trade in along with your cash you should have a fine year 09-10 2.0l galaxy for that.

Definitely the C4 - spacious with great comfort. My opinion of Citroen in general was pretty low, no particular reason, just didnt really like the look of any of their models. A relation has the c4 (grand picasso), also a 2008 with the 1.6 diesel engine, and having driven it on multiple occasions give it the proverbial thumbs up. Masses of storage space up front, back seats are individual, have the optional 2 pop up seats but better as boot space. Nice wheel, good controls in general, intuitive even. Not amazing handling, but its defo imposing on the road

    Galaxy is king.
You wont notice much of a difference between the 2.0 and the 1.8, but the 2.0 seems to be a lot tougher. Probably will get better reliability with less work to do. DPF appears to last longer too.

Unless you need the extra height, go for an S-Max instead. For all intents and purposes, it's the same as the Galaxy, but tend to be a few grand cheaper.
