    Hi,
I have bought a return flight with Ryanair. I am thinking of finding my own way back to Dublin and then using the return part of the flight. If I'm not on the outbound flight will Ryanair cancel the return flight too or can I do something to avoid this?

I'm pretty sure that with Ryanair each segment is billed as its own entity so there's no incentive for people to book and miss flights to save money. Check the T+Cs, but I think you'd be okay.

I'm not looking to save money. I just want to be sure that if I turn up on the day to return home that they'll let me board the plane.

With ryanair you'll be ok unless they've changed policy

Was this booked as a return flight, or as two separate flights, to and back.

My understanding is that Ryanair do not do return flights, although this may have changed.

With other airlines, a when booking a return flight, if you are a no show for the outbound leg, the ticket is cancelled, including the return leg.

If you've booked two single flights you should be OK, but with Ryanair ... I'd put their new customer service ideas to the test and talk to them.

I've intentionally missed an outbound flight with both Ryanair and Aer Lingus (short haul) and had no problems. Each leg is priced separately so they don't care if you miss one.

As others have noted, with most other airlines (and Aer Lingus long haul) this would be a problem and they would cancel the rest of the ticket.

Done this with a flight to Manchester with Ryanair.
Missed the DUB-MAN because I went by car with a couple mates at last minute, and caught the light home with no issue at all.
