Yup, the 46N to Dundrum seems like your best bet. It doesn't go into Sandyford but you could get off at Leopardstown and walk from there. Google Maps Transit directions will show you where the nearest stop is.

Be warned, it takes a long, long, long, long time to get to Sandyford by nightlink. Bring a sleeping bag, flask of coffee and a good book.

At least 40 minutes on the bus and a fifteen minute walk.

Ask the driver to let you off at Kilgobbin Road at the M 50 junction. Head over the flyover to the Beacon Hotel then take a left at the lights and the Mint is about a 2 minute walk away at the next lights. Alternatively, stay on the bus and you can get off at the roundabout for Wesley College and nip up through the houses into Clonard Estate if it suits you better. Asking for Leopardstown will leave you with a longer walk than at Kilgobbin Road.

As Mark says, it's a desperately long spin so be prepared :)

the 44n stop? used to get that... grim bus, it sometimes felt like armoured bus in dawn of the dead going through some parts

As someone who lives/works in the Sandyford area myself it's a disaster for public transport unless you're taking the LUAS.

I was in town a few weeks back for a work do and took the last 47 back to the estate as I'd left the car at the office - took FOREVER to get there! Never again! I should have just driven in and paid the parking as I wasn't drinking anyway.

Last LUAS is probably your better bet to be honest .

The other option is to get off the 46N at Stillorgan/Brewery Road and walk up from there - probably shorter than staying on the bus until Kilgobbin Road to be honest.

    The 44N is long gone.
