Looking to play a game tomorrow in Dublin, Kildare, Meath or North Wicklow region. Any courses in good enough condition worth a trip out too?

Corballis, first time this winter I came home with no muck on my trousers, unbelievable that the fairways are in same condition as most parklands in the summer. Cracking course.

Obviously it's of no use to you but Strandhill in Sligo is in great nick ATM.

There is a bit of storm damage along the 7th but it's only a fence with no real effect on the fairway or green. In a previous storm there was sea water on the 7th green but it seems to have had no effect in the short term post clean up anyway.

Golf and into the clubhouse with clean pants ain't too bad in this weather.

Was out with scuba today . The place is kryptonite.

If they could somehow give out a divotbag it would be class.

At 7 tee box you can look into island and see how amazing that place is.

    so Corballis
    and
    The Island.

    winter proof.

Played the k club smurfit yesterday. The place is a swamp.

Fairways destroyed and my shoes were getting pulled off my feet when walking through the mud. Trolley trails all over the place like what you would see left over from joy riders.

Purely in the interests of research - how much did you pay for the round? I take it balls were plugging.

Corballis was awesome, especially for the 15 Euro you'll play it for. I heard that Islands greens don't winter very well? I could be wrong, just hearsay.

Portmarnock Links was in good shape yesterday. A bit of standing water in places, but nothing that came into play. Stick to the coast! Sandy soils = drier conditions.

40 with breakfast it cost but no enjoyment in it at all. Lost balls on the fairways was regular. Full ball plugs every time.

Literally feet sinking when standing in the fairway. The place should not be open for play at the moment.

It was the exact same when we played it at Christmas. Shame as its probably wrecking the course.
