    from 50 euro upwards!!!! Thats a silly price for a scrap car...there is a crowd in Drogheda pay way better than that..ill see if i can find their number for you

    A scrap car is worth roughly 120 euro if you bring it to a scrap yard, take the alloys off and sell them seperately to the same yard for extra cash. 50 euro is a pure joke.

    To be fair they say 50 upwards and collect the car. If it isn't driving then it doesn't sound that bad.

    Thanks for the responses, I suppose my concern is that I'd get a legitimate Cert of Destruction so that I cam claim back on road tax.

    The website clearly states you will, and seems like they are highlighting importance of complying with the rules. If the car you have can be driven then you can take it to the scrap yard yourself and get paid for it, too.
