Is the wifi on the UPC Horizon box really as bad as some people say?

Just curious to know as I was thinking of getting the Horizon box at some point.

Well, mine doesn't work, and they even said to me that the wired option is better.

I find the wifi just fine. It doesn't cause me problems and I get good quality signal all over my place.

Have a look at the UPC forum and you will see a lot of people with problems and reverting to a previous set up - it seems to be a bit of a lottery as a lot of people have reported good results - perhaps there are different batches?

Also the position of the unit (under the tv or thereabouts) would seem to mitigate against good wifi anyway.

There are also issues reported around the recording side of it too.
