    hi y'all!

i build a htpc a while back and i now need to adapt it to my main pc as it is no more.

I have an SSD and 2 x 1tb drives, a good psu, a blueray drive and windows 7 64 bit pro

i have a budget of 350 euro max to buy a new cpu, board and at least 8mb of ram, preferably 16mb

i will use it for a bit of recording work with reaper and several vst's which will be the most demanding thing it will do.

was looking at the amd fx8350 but i am open to any cpu/board

    thanks in advance!

What are the full specs of the htpc including case/psu?

will change case if need be, its a silverstone htpc case,
    http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=241&area=en

500w psu, but i will migrate to a bigger case as i do want more drives in future, have some donor cases availible to me

it currently has an amd E350 1.6ghz with 4mb ram, 60gb ssd corsir force 3, with win7 pro 64bit installed and another 1tb sata drive, also a blueray drive
a radeon hd 5450 graphics card ( seems fine for what i need)

basically hoping to use the psu and drives with a new mobo, cpu, ram

    thanks for your reply!
