Hi, my friend has passat B6 , '08 , driver footwell is wet. removed plastic under windscreen, drainage hole is clear, removed driver side carpet under dash, looks like water coming from top right corner, as carpet and floor is dry under brake and clutch pedals. we were pouring water over windscreen and door, there is no water coming now.

Any idea from where water leaking in car ??

    Thanks

I had the same issue in audi a4 B6.

Water leaking in top right hand windscreen (bad seal) , down along inside of A pillar and into footwell.

Was driving me crazy as it would only happen during very heavy rain and i was sure it was coming through pollen filter or drainage hold in battery tray.

Ed China put a disco smoke machine inside a car dry ice and smoke showed the leak.

No sunroof mate. After googling in different forums and talking with friends mechanics, only conclusion is - bad windscreen seal.

rang to one of windscreen companies, explained that windscreen needs to be replaced due bad seal, that company said, insurance not covering wear and tear ... <snip>

I got the corner that was leaking resealed for 20 euro, took 5 mins.

By resealed i mean just add additional paste

    Job done.

Take of the a pillar trim, sun visor and see where water is leaking in from then just add more sealant. You dont need a new windscreen
