ACCA advice

    Hi,

I am new to this board but I would be very interested in your advice.

    I have 3 years(7sittings)to complete 5 papers of ACCA-all the P papers.
I took 3 in Jun13 and I was unsuccessful with 45%,40% and one that I am very embarrassed to mention.

For many years I did nothing with it then I started doing self study and passed my F papers in slow pace then my dad passed away and I had a big break but am back on it again.

I work full time in industry not accountancy firm and I am extremely worried that I won't make it for the 10 year rule applied for ACCA qualification.
I contacted them for what would be the case if say I completed and I had one or two papers left cause I would not wish to lose the qualification if I manage to get to that stage.

Please note I am working full time and use up my holidays to complete it and have other pressures as well.In no way I am using it as an excuse but I was wondering if you can provide with advice on the following

Do you think one can complete the P papers within say 2 years?
Has anyone heard of any extentions in time or what happens if one doesn't pass the qualification within the 10 year rule?
Had anyone heard what is the latest in relation to additional exam sittings per annum?

Please all your comments are very welcome

Not the easiest post to understand.

Yes the P papers can be passed in 2 years. Take lectures and prioritise your studies.

Re time extension, I don't think you will get it. However you can hope for a syllabus change. If that happens then the 10 year clock is reset. Check with ACCA to confirm when you would be time barred.
